Payment, Appointment, and Cancellation Policy

PLEASE READ: Due to an on going problem of people changing their photo session appointments, I have had to come up with a cancellation policy.  I do ask that when clients make an appointment they take into consideration that I usually only do one photo shoot a day. However, there are some days I have multiple sessions or events/weddings.  So when one appointment date gets changed that messes up my schedule for the entire day and also takes a spot that another client could have used.  I do have a husband and a day job that I have to work around to be able to do what I love by taking pictures for you.  Having said that, please choose the date and time very carefully.  I do try to make myself very flexible in order to accommodate most schedules as I understand what it's like to be busy, but please choose a date that your sure you will be able to complete your session, aside of an unexpected emergency.  So my payment policy, making an appointment policy and cancellation policy is as follows.

PAYMENT POLICY

Samantha Bell Photography accepts payments via cash, PAYPAL, money orders, personal check or cashiers checks with immediate processing. All of the following major credit cards: VISA, MASTER CARD, DISCOVER, AMERICAN EXPRESS. Personal checks must clear before the order is processed, so please allow for 2-3weeks if paying by personal check.

Returned Check policy
All returned checks will incur a $35 returned check fee.

MAKING AN APPOINTMENT POLICY: In order for anyone to book a date, they first need to submit a deposit, which is 50% of the session fee.  If you schedule your session at least 2 weeks prior to the date you are wanting, you may mail a check.  Please keep in mind the date will only be held up to one week to receive the payment and after that the appointment time is void.  If you book a date close to the date you are wanting for you appointment, then you will need to pay through pay pal on the day you are booking. If there is a need to pay in cash/card I can meet you, but the appointment will not be booked until payment is received.  Information for both will be given when you contact the photographer about making an appointment.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All Sessions *Includes gift certificates, free session giveaways and client paid sessions
 All appointments that are cancelled due to an emergency may be rescheduled. Deposits are non-refundable, but will go towards balance owed.

Each client is allowed two rescheduling credits for their sessions. If a client cancels more than twice, the photographer reserves the right to not make any further appointments.  If the 2nd appointment time that was made is cancelled for any reason the client will loose the deposit made.

Bad weather will not count against your two credits if there is a need to reschedule. However, it is up to the discretion of myself, the photographer, if the appointment should be canceled due to weather.

Weddings/Special Events
Cancellation policy for weddings/special events is located on your photography contract.

If Samantha Bell Photography cannot perform this Contract due to fire or other casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to Photographer’s illness or emergency, then the Photographer shall return the retainer fee to the Client but shall have no further liability with respect to the Contract. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or other media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the Photographer. In the event Samantha Bell Photography fails to perform for any other reason, Samantha Bell Photography shall not be liable for any amount in excess of all monies paid.

We are an independent, professional and we try our best to work with each client understanding that their needs are unique. These policies are in place to assure that all clients are treated the same just as we value each client the same.
